After years of no news at all from Reperes, they have a new survey that will give you 300L$ for answering completely. I just finished the survey and now waiting for the 300L$ in my avatar. Nice!

This latest survey by Reperes is for the University of Manchester Business School. The survey is interesting especially since it’s my first time to use sliders as a way to choose an answer.

Do you think Reperes will be back full time to bringing surveys to Second Life residents? (More free lindens for us!)

There’s a reason why everyone should not give their Real Life Information online especially when filling up surveys that promises HUGE rewards compared to others.

I’ve been a victim of a Credit Card hacking before. So I hope by blogging this, I will be able to help everyone reading this to avoid being a victim of identity theft and fraud.

Here are a few reasons why you should not trust Web Offers or Surveys that are too good to be true.

1. Security - Your personal information can be used against you especially on credit card hacking and other fraudulent acts. Make it a habit not to give personal information such as Birthday, Address, your parent’s name and others that are used for verification processes.
2. Spam! Spam! Spam! – I made a mistake by giving my real / main email address before to a “Web Offer” and “Survey” that promises around L$750 Linden Dollars. After that, I started receiving emails from a lot of companies that I don’t really know and keeps on offering me stuff that I don’t want and I don’t need.
3. Scam – This can be covered by security but I believe it’s a different reason. When you give your personal information especially to promos with “Win this!” “Win That!”, later they will ask you to provide you information on how to win those “prizes” by actually asking for your Credit Card information or telling you that you will only qualify when you buy a specific item or service… which is a SCAM! You lose money, you get hacked, and most of all, you will never have the chance to win anything since it is a SCAM!

Always protect your information. Facebook and Google would never have those Privacy issues with Governments across the planet if personal information was kept private in the first place.

You may receive some free lindens or reward right for now and then realize after a few days, that you lost hundreds or even thousands of real money / dollars due to hacking or theft.

Recently, I’m getting messages, comments and emails that reports about this kind of web offers that gives you an infinite loop of surveys rather than paying you the linden dollars.

What’s an infinite loop survey?

Basically these are surveys or “web offers” that once you’re done answering, will direct you to another survey for you to receive your supposedly “free lindens”.

That kind of web offer is a scam. I’m telling you now, don’t bother answering another survey if the first one promises you your money already.
